When viewing the aircraft type stats it shows a ticket factor, what is this?

i looked at concorde because i thought i might of known it. Concorde has a factor of 4, so my guess is that it is what allows the uneconomical aircraft like concorde to be used to actually make something.

Hi Guys,

Yes, there is now the facility to enhance ticket prices for aircrafts that would otherwise be difficult or impossible to operate in the FSA ecomomy. It is anticipated that only a few aircraft would need the enhancement where fuel costs overcome the passenger income. These could typically be business jets and the older prop/jet aircraft although not all will need it. It is not anticipated that any of the more modern fuel efficient types will need this enhancement. Once the fine details have been ironed out an announcement will be made as to how the enhancement works, how to apply the enhancement to any of your aircraft that may have an enhancement and how to request a particular aircraft type gets an enhancement.

That sounds good. Maybe then I can actually take my C525 out of the hanger :)

Excellent idea, this makes quite a few types more viable and lets folks operate some different types.....now where did I park that Embraer Legacy????

Remember, this does not apply to aircraft in your personal hangar, only to aircraft operated by the VA. If you're flying the airplane from your personal hangar, then it'll cost just as much as it did before to fly it since you are not making money on it.

I think there's still a little room to manoeuvre with ticket factors.. acknowledging that we're still in early days with it.

One of my pilots has just done EGLL-KJFK in a Comet4 (ticket factor 3) and the flight recorded a loss of $118.700 with a x25 multiplyer. The fuel figures look good and he's used more than he bought.. landing at JFK with some 3000kg onboard. Before the multiplyer.. this comes down to -$4748.. not too bad I suppose but it'd still be nice to see it in the black. I'm not sure if all Comet4 flights would be so effected or if it's just the transatlantic run.
